We had a wonderful night at the Eastern District National Night Out. It was so much fun to see the kids' faces as they enjoyed our fishing game. I asked one what she imagined her bait was and she said "Cupcakes! Red velvet cupcakes!" Her rod immediately connected with a fish! Another child smiled as she said she would use gummy worms to catch her fish! Lots of smiles as they hooked and pulled up fish.

The SPAN bathtub costume received lots of attention. We were highlighting that SPAN helps with emergency financial assistance for utility shut offs, evictions and medical expenses in addition to food.
